Time to get the wrinkles out... let's talk ironing

Much as I hate ironing, there is nothing like a freshly ironed cotton blouse or skirt or even summer slacks with a perfect knife sharp crease. When I was in the Air Force, as an officer, all my uniforms were done at the cleaners and of course were regulation. That taught me to want all my blouses that way as well. Can get very spoiled that way.

I agree, Lewkat.

As crazy as this may sound to some, I used to pride myself with sending my kids out the door to school every Monday morning in freshly pressed pants and shirts. Always had such a way of making me feel good inside.

I did the same with my son, but by the time he got home, good grief, the shirt looked as though he'd been through a war.

Boy, do I remember... grass stains on the seat, dirt stains on the knees.

I remember the first time I washed a pair of running shoes, I was elated at how clean, fresh, and brand new they came out looking! After that when my kids shoes started looking nasty, into the washing machine they'd go!

I sometimes wonder how I kept up.
