Apple Pie a la Mode

Besides vanilla, what ice cream flavor do you think would go well with apple pie?

For me, vanilla is the kicker!

But... my dad used to love a slice of cheddar on his apple pie!

Cheese on apple pie? I've heard of it, but it would not be my cup of tea. There a saying "A piece of pie without some cheese is like a hug without a squeeze."

I remember trying it and it was good, but having the sweet-tooth that I do, nothing replaces a dollop of real vanilla ice cream! When I say real, I mean vanilla ice cream with real vanilla bean in it.

Okay, you two... you got me to thinking about this, and my suggestion would be Maple-Walnut! Pecan, too!

I bought some "peanut butter pandemonium" ice cream which is basically chocolate ice cream with PB swirls and mini PB cups in it. I guess I will see how this pans out. Of course, there is no BAD flavor ice cream.

I think there is cinnamon ice cream...at least around the holidays or maybe it’s just wishful thinking.
