Yes but it’s at least 2 tablespoons. Garlic is even better for lowering it. Combining both together for cooking or as a raw vinegarette is even better.

My father in law starting taking garlic and was taking blood pressure medication. He had to get his blood pressure meds adjusted since the combination of both was making his blood pressure too low and he was passing out.

I eat lots of garlic, daily, and finish most of my saute and stir fry dishes with olive oil.

Just remember, to get to higher heats, do not start with olive oil. I use canola, to its smoking point, toss in my tofu, that never sticks as long as the temp is high enough, add my veggies, after the tofu has browned, reduce the heat, add my EVO, toss, and serve. Perfection!

I consume tons of olive oil and likewise garlic. Don’t stand too close 🤭🤭 I also eat lots of fish and tomatoes, green leafy veg. My blood pressure is always fine. My cholesterol is high - a family thing - but I drink special milk and use one of those special spreads, eat oats, etc, and that takes it down a tad. I don’t really like medication unless it’s for a temporary condition.
I buy my garlic ready-peeled in two litre bottles....

Swallowing raw garlic has been found more beneficial than cooked garlic. Garlic contains amounts of vitamin C, A, E and folate. These antioxidants destroy free radicals that can damage cell membrane. Garlic also gives you 10 percent of your recommended daily intake of manganese.

I eat raw most days but unless it is fresh it can taste hot.

I might look in to that. Some things are good for BP but that does not mean they lower it in every case. Several per day is excessive but olive oil has several benefits including skin.
