I just joined this forum -- hello everyone. I retired fairly recently and am still in the process of trying to figure out this retirement thing. Best part about it so far is the not having to get up at the crack of dawn part. Wonderful not having to set an alarm clock!!

Hi Butterfly and Welcome to the Forum.. :welcome: I'm a member of a lot of forums but I have to say the people on this forum seem to be by the far the most friendly. I do hope you enjoy your time with us.

Hi Butterfly .. welcome.:welcome: .. I'm retired too, and totally enjoy the life.

Throw that ole alarm clock away ..lol

Hi Butterfly, happy you've joined us here! I've been retired for several years, and I don't think I used the alarm on my clock even once!

OMG, another Albuquirk! I'm one too! Displaced Yankee, been long retired except for doing taxes at H & R Block in season, have 4 legged alarm clock, a tiger-tabby. I think folks on this board are really nice, no trolls.

Of all the places I've lived (and I've lived lots of places!), New Mexico is my favorite. It just feels different there. Can we call it an aura? We lived first in Farmington, then in Las Cruces. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Loved every minute of it. It's a special place, and The Land of Enchantment is a perfect way to describe it
