I took this picture today on my way home from shopping.
Artistic privilege. I parked my bike against the post.

Yes. Professional photographers do that and they add a fill light for the front. I can tell a reflector or a fill light was used in that photo. See the shadow on the arm. Outdoors instead of having people squinting into the light, you can have them sidelighted or backlighted and use a flash to fill in.

Yes we do. But I didn't for this shot. This is a natural light shot of my daughter in a church while we were on holiday in the Cotswolds

Took awhile to load. But super picture. The goldfinches love those thistles in the fall. They hang around waiting for them and then take off somewhere in the winter.

I didn't take this picture. It was on a local news website. I would love to know how the photographer got the lightning in the picture. Im pretty sure he used a wide angle lens. in the picture.
