Attorney General James Files Lawsuit to Dissolve NRA

Letitia is a fine woman, IMO.
I'm hoping once she lowers the end of the barrel of her 600 Nitro Express, she pulls both triggers at once.

Take-out the elephant in the room once and for all!

I was a member of the NRA, years ago, before and during the time when Charlton Heston was it's leader. Back then, the emphasis was on gun safety and responsible ownership. After LaPierre took over, the "integrity" of that organization seemed to be declining, IMO. I let my membership lapse 15+ years ago, and forgot about that group.

NYC and state has had draconian gun laws forever, and they have failed miserably. The city and state leaders solution has been to release felons onto the street and wonder why crime has skyrocketed.

The NRA should move to a friendlier state and reincorporate. NRA management should address any illicit activity after investigation by other than politically motivated left wingers.

Automakers do try to make their vehicles safer. I can't say the same for gun makers. The more deadly the gun, the more popular and the greater amount of sales./QUOTE]

A gun is Only deadly to the individual on the receiving end of the barrel/bullet. The way our societies are crumbling under the stress of the virus, investing in the gun makers stocks is going to prove to be a wise investment for the foreseeable future.

So, some folks want to divest people of their guns. Which sounds great, except that criminals won't go along with this and get rid of theirs ... so now what?

There are probably millions of stolen or unregistered guns in the U.S. Any attempt to confiscate firearms would be fruitless, since only the honest people would make any attempt to comply. All any such measures would do is embolden the criminals.

Remember...."When danger is only seconds away, the police are only minutes away". And....with the increasing campaigns Against the police, those "minutes" may become "hours"....especially in the crime infested areas of our cities.

However, if I was to move to the U.S., the first thing I would buy is a gun.

Why, Camper? You seem to have a pretty sane, sensible perspective on this, until you get to that last sentence. If you think you really "need" a gun to live in this country, you are probably getting your ideas about life in the U.S. from old-time western movies.

I've lived here all my life, have never owned a gun, neither did my parents or my husband, neither do my children or grandchildren, and we all manage to get along here just fine. I think by following the media, you get a somewhat distorted picture of the danger of not having a gun in your hand at all times. The NRA would like to have you think that's true; it isn't.
