Drive the plastic highway? How a California company's innovative repaving process could lead to the 'holy grail' of road construction.

That's a Great idea. Given the millions of plastic bottles, and other plastic containers/goods that are thrown away every year, and polluting the entire environment, some means of recycling this waste Must be found. I would like to see a "deposit" placed on All plastic containers....everything from water bottles to mayonnaise jars, and a recycling industry that can put this waste to good use.

The roadside trash is bad enough, but when you consider the growing islands of waste in the oceans, and on the beaches, etc., it should be obvious that this issue needs to be addressed.

I have my fingers crossed big time hoping it works out. The end of line comment on the material has me curious.
Think it will slow some of those rockets headed for the moon and Mars will slow down on launching?

Thanks for posting that. It sounds promising at least for one repaving effort. I'm wondering if the new pavement can be recycled like the existing pavement. If not now they're probably working on a way to do that. However even without that it sounds like it helps immediately.

...deleted...I had posted about plant bottles but I got to looking and the article was from 2015. I'm a little behind the times. LOL
