Name a living or mechanical mode of transportation you would like to navigate.

I'd like to fly an ultralight. And although it isn't mechanical I'd love to hang glide as well or fly a glider that's pulled up into the sky by an airplane. I'd also love to fly or be flown in some sort of fighter. The old F-111 would be my first choice but I don't think there are any of them flying anymore. The ultimate flight for me though would be on top of a rocket into space.

Ever since picking up one of my dads Popular Mechanics magazines back in the 1970's, with a picture and write-up of the Moller Flying Car in it, I have dreamed of owning and travelling in such a craft.

My other mode of transportation I would just love to travel in (fantasy based), is the Jetson's Craft.

I've ridden camels and elephants. I don't know about navigating them...….they pretty much do what they want to do unless you're really in charge.

I fly planes frequently in my dreams. I'd love to pilot a plane in real life.
Then do it. You can go to your local airport and if they have someone that gives lessons there, you may be able to buy time in a simulator. You could at least test your skills before deciding to take a few lessons.

Cross country on a private train.

I really wanted to ride the SST before It stopped flying.i like asp3’s choices too!

The STS program was one of my dreams too. NASA KSC and SpaceCamp has simulators and mockups I believe.
There are literally dozens of official NASA archived and independant Youtube videos covering just about every aspect of shuttle operations.

Enjoy

Hey OED that's a serious ride. I had a Honda 350 once. lolol. Don't know what I was thinking. I couldn't shift gears for crap. Never applied for a motorcycle endorsement either, just tried to drive it around. Eventually traded with a neighbor for an Ithaca 12 gauge shotgun. Must have been some kind of midlife crises thing I guess.

I think my son is having a mid-life crisis now. He wants to get his motorcycle license and get a bike. His older (half) brother out in Idaho (or somewhere out that way) got a boss trike. I think that fed my son's interest. Lord I hope he doesn't get one.

Better you than me I'm afraid of heights

I'm seriously(well, more than just casually) thinking of doing a zip line. what could go wrong? Our local mountain community has a zip line business, I believe they do it on the ski resort property...

In reading the posts above doing came into mind then I read your post and had to comment, I'd also love an opportunity to zip line, Not nearly as frightening a hang gliding or bunji jumping
