Summoned Ubereats, ordered a big reuben sandwich, potato salad, and dill pickle from THE best, most expensive gourmet deli in the city. I'm finishing the first half. Gawd, it's delicious.❤
Will save the other half for later.

...I coulda ordered jewelry, perfume, shoes, ...nah!

HOWEVER, there's a place near that deli that sells huge pieces of cheesecake and *outrageous creme puffs. I did NOT order either so I'll pat myself on the back.

I wished that I would have seen this thread before I ate my dessert. We had a slice of 3 layer dark chocolate cake with peanut butter icing between the layers and on top. Around the outside was dark chocolate icing. Very good with a side of Hennessy Cognac XO to sip.

I treated us to a monster sandwich from our gourmet restaurant. Prosciutto, capicola,ham and salami on a baguette with mayo, lettuce,tomato, pepperoncini,and provolone. We shared one as it was huge, It also came with side salads with ranch and oil and vinegar dressings.

I'm still above ground, my health is good, I wake up to a beautiful sunrise every day across the high desert hills, I'm retired, I'm debt free. Freedom!! Yup I did , got some good things done. My treat, home fries in an air cooker using a table spoon of duck fat and a pinch of salt. Absolutely fantastic...who would have thought.

I call this a treat; I finally went to the grocery store, got there at 7 a.m. and was able to buy my favorite foods. Best buy were white fleshed nectarines. I'll get braver in a month or two and go to TJMaxx or Marshalls.
