Do You Know About The Dirty Dozen - Clean Fifteen?

Every year the Dirty Dozen, Clean 15 lists are published. This year's dozen is the same as last year according to Green Matters, a site I choose not to post due to too many ads. It's easier to view on the website below which has an identical list except that the Green Matters site added a dirty "bonus"..#13 hot peppers. It's best to buy organic when the produce is on the Dirty Dozen list because up to 18 different pesticides can be found on these fruits and vegetables. If it's in the Clean 15 category, organic is not necessary.

I always do my best to wash all store-bought produce before preparing.

Guess I’m going to die early. No way am I going to this much effort.

This was only one of the five steps for washing. Distilled water? Seriously?

(You don’t have to worry about me dying too early. I’m already not young.)

I'm not using distilled water either. We don't at work. We have a chemical wash but I don't trust that either.
