Do you have anything that consistently brings you joy?

You certainly have a wide range in genre choices. Clearly you like pop rock also. Lately I’ve been listening to a radio station that plays quite a bit of indie pop. One day I was walking the dogs and a song came on that was about 15 minutes long in remakes of popular songs in indie rock. It was really good.
The Bass Sax. There’s also the contrabass saxophone. Some of these saxophones are huge.
I’m so glad mine are of the smaller variety.
The cello truly is lovely instrument. Then again, I like most instruments.View attachment 125419
Holy smokes!

What would something like that weight, Keesha?

There's huge heart grabbing chunks of joy that come from watching videos of my 2 yr. old GGD and then there are tiny blips of it when I see that a newly planted seed has sprouted or listen to the neighborhood mockingbird sing or watch the antics of my porch anoles as they mock fight, one on either side of the screen. Life is smaller but it is still good.

♥ Love your post.
And also greatest joy is family, and my constant companion these days, Lil'Bear.
Awww... thanks, Bonnie!

I agree, family, friends, and pets are everything, too.

I go through bouts of depression now that our home is empty (no more young and growing children), and so gardening for me is my escape from the grasp of the demons that haunt me.

Gardening takes me away for the realities of life, from the toxicity of the world, and allows me to shed my love and care on all growing things just like I used to when my kids were little.

I truly feel like Mother Nature herself when I'm gardening.

Yes, on Sunday it was an 80 yard pitching wedge to within about four feet of the pin, resulting in a par on a par 4 in an otherwise forgettable round. That's why one keeps coming back.
Yup

Ya got 18 to get it right

The screaming drive that starts out low, then rises, like a jet, slightly bending thru the dog leg
Don't even feel the connection due the the sweet spot doing what it's supposed to do

The wedge, lobbed high, over that pit of a trap, onto the green
That balata.....spinning back toward the hole

The four foot putt
You give it a chance, but it rims
Still....an easy par

If your golf day is like that...all day
And the next day
And you even flirt with a birdie or two
You consider going after your senior tour card

The third day, reality sets in

That's what the 19th hole is all about

My kids phone me and call me the coolest Mom ever! That's the best!
My 45's Rock and Roll music! Ya-Hoo!
My clay! Sculpting takes me to higher realms.
Love being near streams and rivers. There's something magical about it.
Rain always makes me happy. Thunder! The electricity in the air.
love to go outside at night and look at the stars. feel connected.
Chocolate always makes me happy.
the smell of Ponderosa Pine trees.
Great art, especially Art Nouveau excites me!
Quotes from men of wisdom, poetry, great literature!

Is there anything in your life that never fails to give you joy? If so what gives you the most joy in your life?

For me it is definitely music. I'm having an amazing night of music listening to the random offerings that iTunes has come up with for me today. I'm loving most of what I'm hearing and it's giving me an amazing evening.
I love nature, my husband and my furkids, they give me the most joy on a daily basis. Also enjoy music and laughter, two things needed to complete any good day of living. :)

Most everybody I know who plays golf seems to be in a constant state of frustration about it. I never understood why anybody would want to live like that. But, then, much about sports seems rather strange to me. At least with golf, the people I know actually participate. :)

It's extremely difficult. You have to come to grips with your limitations and learn to enjoy it for the outdoors and the beautiful course. But you also have to try to improve a bit and keep your mind in the game. Otherwise it is truly "a good walk spoiled."

I've played at a few clubs and resorts and at a lot of municipal courses. One of the amazing things is that everybody I've met playing is a gentleman (or a lady). Golf seems to bring out the best rather than the worst in people.
