House Music: Dance Like No One Is Watching!

House Music, sometimes described as spiritually uplifting is not quite the same as Disco; musical genres can be mixed to be House tracks. House is a form of music that has brought people together at peaceful gatherings (clubs, festivals) across the country. My son is a popular House Music deejay in N.J. who has quite a following. He and his mentee began deejaying parties shortly after my husband died. Dancing to this music became a way for me to release my stress, frustration and grief and I'd be on the floor all night. From attending his parties I've met other Deejays, internet T.V. and radio hosts as well as other House Heads (I'm now officially one), many of them who now call me "Mom". Often I put on one of my son's hour + long mixes, or individual tracks and dance through the house. If you want to feel good amid all of this chaos, if you like to dance...then House Music is for you. I'll start with one of my favorites:

And sing like no one is listening, allow your true self the freedom to just be. It's a great release, better than crying for me. Sorry you lost your husband, that he moved on to the next level.

Very nice, light and lively. I am getting a pretty good mental image of you and your friends enjoying yourself dancing to this music. My wife and I are mentally on our way to join you folks, we are overdue for some dancing. It helps take our minds off other things.
 

It was a sin to dance when I was a kid, so there was no one to teach me. I learned to just go with the rhythm later on when people began to dance not touching each other. Then I had a boyfriend who loved to dance doing all the fancy steps. I had never learned them. He said, just go with the rhythm. I did, but we didn't feel it the same way. He couldn't understand that. And thought the way I danced was stupid. In some ways he was a smart man and in some, not so much.

@Pecos Glad you and your wife are ready to dance! 👣👣 Check back here, I will be posting more stuff. Sometimes it's not easy finding the exact mixes I've come to love of each song on YT. though.
 
@Pecos Just FF to about 2:00 minutes if you don't want to hear the talking part. This is actually song about her love of House. I love this mix (still haven't heard all 8 versions yet).
