We bought a new car today.

We decided to get a new car. The hubby was more involved in this than I was. Personally as long as it runs good and gets me from here to there I'm happy. He's been out looking for several weeks and finally decided on a Hyundai Elantra. The same kind we had before.
It is a new 2020 and has a great warrantee.
The last one served us well and we don't need a lot of bells and whistles.
One thing that I really like about this one is that it has duel controls on the AC. Now the hubby can stew in his own juices and I can have my side set on 60 degrees.
Strange feeling buying this car because it will probably be the last one we buy. I don't drive much anymore except around town and we don't travel like we use to.
Lately there have been a lot of "last ones" in our lives. Meanwhile we will enjoy what we have.car1.JPGcar inside.JPG

Nice car

Korean cars have come a long way since they first showed up. They had serious competition in that class of car - from Corolla & Civic.

That's a beauty.

My son had a Hyundai and he loved it. Then my daughter in law's uncle died and left his Subaru SUV to my son. So, he sold the Hyundai, and kept the SUV as that is really what he needed for his business. It was green and my DIL was a white car lover. She died 2 yrs. ago and my son just bought a new white Subaru. It has one million bells and whistles on it and at first can drive you crazy until you get used to it stopping on its own if it appears an accident is about to happen, etc.

At any rate, Ruth, even though you didn't order all the accessories, you will find some built in with these newbies. Enjoy them and be careful out there with so many nutty drivers behind the wheel today.

@moviequeen1 I'm really not particular at my age. Years ago I wanted a fire engine red one but for some reason I never got one. I've had several white ones and in my opinion white cars seem to stay cleaner than others.
This time I let my hubby choose. As long as it wasn't taxi cab yellow I didn't care.

Due to costs, we don't have the color choices we had in the past. And, a few years ago when I was car shopping, dealers told me the Tsunami in Japan destroyed several factories where car paints were mixed.

Is that only a thing in the USA?... we have plenty Japanese cars here in the UK..and plenty colours to choose from ...
