What's the oldest thing in your home?

No, Not a picture of your husband! What's the oldest thing (object) you own?
This is a spur from the 1700's. Mexico, Vaquero, 100 years before the Spanish-American War, with gold ribbons. I may have some books and a few other
extremely old things but I think this is the oldest of everything!

The oldest is me....62.
The next oldest is...... a plaster statue of a cat, about 12'' high.....52 years.

Well, I suppose that would have to be my pen........the point is really blunt, and the hammer that goes with it is missing a wooden shaft.

Looking around & realize I have quite a few old things.
Have an photo of my mother's mother as a young lady with her sisters & parents.
Next would be the Eastlake love seat, rocking chair, marble top stand & small marble top cabinet.

And this house is old,, not sure how old,,maybe 1930s or older.

My grandmother got married in 1907, I think. At that time she bought a used settee for $2. Not sure of it’s actual age. It’s quite lovely but I have it in the bedroom instead of the front hall now. I don’t want to chance an overly heavy visitor plopping themselves down to take their shoes off.

Diamonds on my first wedding set (rings); they are over 100 years old. A bookshelf that belonged to hubby's maternal grandfather; it is about 50+ years old. There are probably other items ... I just can't remember right now.

Husband bought this from a car boot sale when he was on holiday in America many years ago
She is a porcelain ballerina approx 10cm high with minor damage to the intricate lacework on her tutu
She is not 'old' as such but she is made in 'Occupied Japan' 1945-1951

My wife has 2 violins she inherited when her mother passed, I believe they are late 18th/early 19th century. They might be worth something, but would need some restoration.

I remember Gemco, didn't know it was Target's predecessor.

The old growth redwood that much of the house is built with. Depending on how you count it's age it started out as trees hundreds of years ago. The house was built in the late 1880s so the trees were probably at least 100 years older than that and probably even older.

I have 2 statues of birds I was told were from the 1940’s simply because they have
Germany printed on the base , I was told it charged to anything made latter ,( To made in Germany) I have no proof if it’s true or not.
I also have a couple of old milk jugs I used to mix my eldest sons milk in when he was a baby
he’s 55 so I’ve had them that long. We changed to metric in 1966 these jugs are in ounces

We have a handmade silver metal ( stainless steel ) ?? sailing ship that hubbies parents got for a wedding gift ..in 1946 it’s up on a shelf so I’d have to get the mini ladder out to take a photo.
We have quite a few old bits in the China cabinet
