  • 3-29-20 clusters of virus found in Dallas, Tx nursing homes-4 nursing homes total, 8-9 cases, nursing homes restriction being placed now-Dallas county scurrying, 'greatly concerned.'You can take loved one home from nursing home (that sounds risky to me).

Sounds like it could be a difficult decision for some.... and added stress for the people who work and live at the homes, and for the entire area. Sad times.
Dallas county, Tx mandate-two six packs of toilet paper is maximum allowable purchase-ruling by county judges-'caused by hoarders and black market.' 'We are not going to wait of Fed Govt...Tx industry will begin to produce ventilators & other medical equipment...'
I was on SF for a month or two, before I realized what the "Like," button and the simile faces were for...Yep, I have channeled thinking, if I'm a reading or looking, how would one stop and press
buttons on the right hand side. Question, was anyone else dumb as me?

C'mon, Holly...:ROFLMAO::p We all were, at some point... Yours was just longer ago, and maybe so long that you don't remember it.?
Or maybe you were a child, when you first used computers like these. ;)
I can remember back when I was afraid to press ANY key, thinking the entire computer would break if I pressed the wrong one. o_O:ROFLMAO:

We're glad you caught on, Jerry, and stayed on SF !

It's a good idea , imo. Shorter...simpler ...good for forums...
Some people don't realize when they are first signing up. Some have not been on any forums, before, and don't know what goes where or what a username is, etc...

Hi jerry old. Ive had more user handles and run out of fingers counting them since joining forums in 2006. I just dream them up out of the ether.
Find Tv: eposide of 'Cops.' daughter removed her dentures, threw them at her father, hit him in the eyebrow, cutting him slightly. Cops arrived hunted for teeth. reminds you of Bobbitt huh?
The Brit P.M. and his hair: What, he does not own a comb, he is phobic about combs,(???) is his tussled a political
ploy to be recognized. He looks like he just got out of bed, dressed fast, no time to comb hair.

The various movies about Frankenstein being a monster is nonsense. He was actually brought to life in a hospital. He was presented with a 2 million hospital bill.
    (Dr. Frankenstein absconded)
In that he was homeless, the hospital lets him sleep in the hospital and eat without paying in their cafeteria. The hospital employed him as a janitor; he turns over his weekly check to the billing department.
Doctor Zhivago on TV, Tuner Classic Films, must have seen it 8-10 times, drama and romance, don't care for romance, but this is an exception.

I just noticed that also and wondered if it was new. It’s a great feature.
Today is Boxing day-Has it turned into Black Friday (Where customers grow shopping malls.)? Do the Scots acknowledge Boxing Day?
    hollydolly
    hollydolly
absolutely. Boxing day is huge everywhere in the UK and when the biggest sales are on...and is also a national holiday
"A Christmas Story" with Daren McGavin and 'Ralphie' has replaced James Stewart's annual effort, which has become difficult to watch-too many views.
I'm about as sensitive as a dead dog; however, I got lost in 'bama on a sandy road-way far in the country. I had to speak to several natives (had Michigan tags on car)
This was when Wallace was running for president-they made me very uncomfortable- semi-scary??. I had lost my Tx tang, I guess they took me for a Yankee???

I think Holly invited me too, or meant to, when she wrote about those foods. I don't know if she invited more people, or if she invited us for the same day, or one at a time. I'll find out if I see you there.

"DAS BOAT" is on Turner Classic Films, first time I've seen it on TV. just about the best submarine movie ever made. Do not understand why it is not on TV more-This was a German film, and they remained true to their language. Excellent, just excellent

I completely agree with you. The first time I watched it I was riveted to the screen. There were still a few diesel subs active during my time in the Navy. We called their crews "sewer pipe sailors" although their boats were far advanced over the Nazi U boats of the 1940s.
Okay, write something and see where this infernal machine take it.

I died in the recovery room after an operation, My heart was restarted with the use of electric shock. I had signed a release that I was not to be kept alive if anything went wrong. They were not aware of this signed document and I was revived. I came close to knowing what happens when you die. My only reflection was I was fighting to live. :alien: I was told my skin had begin to turn purple.

See: That is someone we know, (as well as you can know one of a print media), knowing the author gives it validity. The 'came close to knowing' is intriguing!

I had a minor heart attack, yep minor-two weeks or more in ICU; open chest and all that.
A very unpleasant male stood outside my door, lurking during that 2 weeks; staff denied
    anyone was present-I knew!
