Just Plain Awful Package Delivery Drivers

What I'd give to be the hiring and firing staff... these guys would be looking for new jobs.

I feel you Auntie M......um that don't sound right so I'll just say I agree with you Auntie M and even though I am a staunch union man even I would post bail for any UPS customer who would physically lecture a UPS driver for felonious package delivery and an needless and more so an unwarranted attack on a residential structure with a dangerous box. But read this:

LOL!

Lots of shocking information and insight I would never have guessed or thought of in a million years.

It's my understanding that unions (today) have become the laughing stock of the workers. Not at all what unions used to be.

Lip service, lies, back-door dealings, taking care of themselves, first, then taking care of the employers, and then, and only then, if there's anything leftover after all of that, the employees may see (if they're lucky) a nibble.

Pretty sad state of affairs.

Who wants to be watched, critiqued, and spied on in their workplace.

When I was hogging our union was BLE (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers) now it's BLE-T (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen) which equates to operating department individuals who will sit still for railroad robber barons unwilling to negotiate in good faith.

I'm glad you mentioned being spied on like hard working employees need that while the bosses (Their sellout crew dispatch butt kissers and ratfink foremen of road engines) take nips from their bottles of Remy Martin stashed in their bottom desk drawers and letting their mistress/secretaries leave work early. Now the new AMTRASH crap boxes and a few of the commuter railroads have inward facing cameras. Nothing worst then having winos and dope fiends ruining the workplace for those of us who refuse to fall to the lust of illegal narcotics and excessive drink.

This 'mind boggling' note was waiting for the homeowner
“I accidentally threw your parcel on top of the roof, my apologies,”
the bizarre note written on an Australia Post parcel slip read
“Use maybe a broom to get it down.”
How can anyone accidentally throw a parcel onto a roof 😲
Incidentally the homeowner is only 5'1" and was quite non-plussed at to how to retrieve her parcel
Australia Post was not amused and launched an investigation into the incident, saying it will be taking action against the postie
Australia Post and their delivery service Star Track have a poor record of successful deliveries
At least 50% of most deliveries end up damaged and my huz and I have had deliveries with boot prints on the boxes
where they have been used as steps
I used to work in a Post Office and it was frightening to watch the lack of care taken by Australia Post delivery staff

Did the post office send somebody out to retrieve the package that their own employee threw up on the roof?

@FastTrax I would pay money to see the actual delivery guy retrieve the parcel
The lady retrieved it herself but not before plastering the photos and description all over Aust Post's Facebook page
Exactly what those delivery guys deserved but unfortunately Australia Post is a bit of a 'toothless tiger'

How in the world can they get away with that?

How in the world can they get away with that?

Easy because they are middle management who really runs the railroad. The real boss who probably doesn't even know how to spell the name of the railroad that he was groomed to run by some pork barrel congressman is out on the links just as that cartoon Unstoppable portrayed when the CEO had to make a decision about derailing the train or updating his resume if the board of directors thinks the legal department is going to side with risk management in fighting the oncoming multimillion dollar lawsuits. The transportation industry can well afford to settle out of court on nickel and dime ambulance chasing lawsuits but if that GE AC6000CW lashup with just a few of those black snakes would be catastrophic involving dozens if not hundreds of victims whose next of kin would be well represented by heavy hitting attorneys which could not only bankrupt the railroad but as Mr. CEO wondered about the 30% to 40% stock devaluation prediction by the bean counters all the investors and consignees would bail. That's not acceptable even for Class 1's like UP, BNSF, CSX and NS. AMRAG will never be allowed to drown because it's the only intercity game in town. It's the only government funded choo choo train in America that Congress gives a blank check to every 365 days when they want to order some new plastic engines with aluminum wheels. Soapbox away.

Just seems like such an invasion of privacy and freedoms.

I don't think any employee in any workplace should have to endure such a thing

Seems it would be in violation of people's basic rights.
Sometimes it's necessary, though. I'm sure employees at convenience stores and similar places don't like being on camera all day but, they have to do that to catch thieves. This world is becoming what we have made it into.

Very true in so many ways, I agree.
