Acorn squash

Cooked squash is wonderful.
Looks really good Deb. Do you ever add Christmas spices like cinnamon, cloves or nutmeg to it? That is if you like a pumpkin pie flavour. Squash flavour all on its own , is perfectly good right out of the stove , with a bit of butter. Yummm! I’d eat that for breakfast. Then again, I eat anything lately. 🤦‍♀️Lol
 
Depends on the squash flavor. Really sweet squash do not need anything but a dash of salt and pepper and some butter. Less flavorful varieties may need tweaking with flavorings to an individual's taste. I've been known to add some brown sugar or molasses to more mild flavored ones.
