Both wood carving and sculpting with clay have their own therapeutic benefits, Cheryl. I haven't worked with modeling clay since I was a kid, saw your great sculptures, and thought I'd give it a whirl. Modeling clay really gives the hands a workout!

I made a skeleton for dancer out of a big eraser, some soldering wire, and pipe cleaners, so it would have strength and be bendable, since I wanted to use it for GIFs.

Yes, I use either a thin wire for the skeleton, or put broken toothpicks in the clay to attach head, arms, legs. Either will work.
Glad you're having fun with it! Combined with your GIFs, you have quite an interesting invention!

Thank you for sharing that claymation series with us, hollydolly!

I am so impressed with all the planning and work which goes into, as one artist said, "A minute film". I took pause and revisited the reason why I was so glad I choose a career in nursing.

I did the free lance art thing from 1996 to 2003 while working as a nurse. When the free lance art thing became more work than pleasure, I hung up my art guns. Nursing was not an easy job, but I made good money, it kept me interested, and I felt like a contributing member of society.

Since I've retired, I can now do my art purely for pleasure: No schedule which to adhere, no one I have to please (except my wife Belinda), and no boss looking over my shoulder.

I have found Shangri La in my art room.
 
You're very welcome Davey... Morph and of course the artist Tony Hart and his show was hugely popualr here on TV among adults as well as children...

I can sense you thoroughly enjoy your hobby, I wish you lots of fun with it...(y)
