Big Blue Moon On Halloween Night 10/31/20

We should all be able to see it. The moon will be full like tonight but blue. What makes it blue i am going to have to google to find out. It won't happen again until 2023. (edited the date to the correct date.) The color blue is due to dust in our atmosphere from what I just read.

Wren has it right. "Blue moon" is the name currently given to the second full moon in a calendar month. It has nothing to do with the moon's apparent color. A blue moon occurs once every 2.5 years.

Technically, tonight's full moon will also be a "micro moon" as the moon will be near it's furthest point from earth in it's elliptical orbit.

And I have the opportunity at work to pic up an extra shift tonight... at time and a half...

We're finally have some clear skies, and last night the moon was Very clear.....should be the same tonight. It appears to be somewhat smaller, since it's orbit puts it currently in the farthest distance from Earth.
