The mask ......

When I was a kid I got in the habit of taking my wallet with me and then a little later my keys. Around 12 years ago I got into the habit of grabbing smart phone along with my wallet and keys. Now I have added the mask to my routine. I've gotten used to it but my heart goes out to those who do have issues wearing one.

Same here for every member of my family. We follow all the recommended guidelines including wearing masks religiously when in public places, socially distancing, and frequent hand washing.
Well I will be seeing very soon if the masks work. We have our 2nd employee in our dept out that tested positive Mon. He was at a wedding with 3 other employees that are not being quarantined. They gave them masks and safety glasses and made them come to work. I'm trying my best not to freak the F out but I tell ya what...if I get this crap because someone was dumb enough to go to a wedding someone's gonna get an earful while I can still breathe.

Doesn't your state or health dept. or whatever have rules about quarantining, especially since you work in a healthcare facility?? If your place was here, our health department would close it down in a flash for that.

I think it's outrageous that they are having those people come to work!

You have possibly misread. Chic was explaining to people her medical reason as to why she did not wear a mask. If a stranger asks me a question about something medical, I tell them I will answer for a 100 dollars. As I have to pay my doctors, and, if they give an opinion, I tell them I will let my doctors know their opinion.

If you are wearing a face shield, you do not have to explain why you are not wearing a mask. It’s obviou-you are not wearing a mask because you are wearing a face shield.

I posted a funny face because I have no ideal what you do, how much you stay home vs go out so my comment, was meant to be funny.

"because I have no ideal what you do, "

I assume you mean idea ?

I stay home because I am retired .......... And hell, everything is closed up anyway. Add to that painful arthritis , hence I am home .

Try wearing a N95 mask... you can literally feel in suck in when you inhale.

I had the need to occasionally use those when I worked, and you're right . And back then, I was younger & without these dog-gone sinus problems.

I still sometimes forget about putting on a mask. Fortunately, before I even exit my car I notice everyone else in the parking lot wearing them and put mine on.

Even though I've been wearing them for roughly six months now, it's hard to overcome a non-masking rut that's more than 65 years deep.

My intention is always to bring masks with me for particular outings, but because old habits die hard I keep extras in my purse and my car. Just in case.

I wear glasses so they steam up. Actually, I hate wearing that stupid mask but the law is the law so I put one on when I enter a store but I take it off the second I leave the store. Can't understand the weird people out there driving their cars by themselves with no one else in the car & still wearing a mask. Really weird! I also find weird young women on Facebook posting photos of themselves wearing masks. Must be one of those "ME, ME, ME, ME" things with the younger generation. Makes no sense to my way of think which is wear a mask when social distancing is impossible.

They can't close down the hospital. We have to be here to take care of people. I questioned the chief of medicine about their decisions on who gets quarantined and who doesn't cuz I'm a pain in the 🤬.

He told me if enough employees get exposed they can't just shut down and send everyone home (staff & patients). Someone has to be here to do the work and take care of people. So if they have 6 employees out then they don't have enough people to cover and God forbid someone should have to work overtime. 🙄 They call it modified quarantine. (more 🙄)

If I get this crap and need to be hospitalized I have to have someplace to go. It's just a bad situation. And there isn't enough staff in KS that can run in and do a 2 wk stint like the hospitals in NY. My mother said they saw on the news last night that the hospital in Wichita is full atm. So I suspect it won't be long before ours fills up.

The defogger spray, Cat Crap, doesn’t work well for me. I need to test it more for amounts, etc. I probably should be applying it just before I go out in the afternoon. I clean my glasses in the morning so that may be the problem. The spray was designed for skiers, so should help once the cold weather hits. Pricey at C$20.
