My flu shot was last Tuesday and five days later I felt like the flu was coming on to me but it was gone the next day. It was a reminder of how lousy one feels eith the flu. I can't imagine getting the COVID.

I'm happy with your info.
I'll be getting my first shot ever....this month.
Anything else i should know.
I'm a real WIMP when it comes to needles, unless i'm already out.
Do we get refreshments after......:giggle:

Not here @MickaC as far as I know. 'Partner' had flu jab - no refreshments. Never had the flu shot but I think if you give blood here you get a biscuit!!!! Sometimes it's just so darn difficult to decide ;)

I had my flu shot a couple of weeks ago. I had a little bit of a headache, slight nausea and aching muscles the evening of the day I got the shot and the next morning but that was about it. I also got the second shingles vaccination at the same time so I can't say which shot gave me the symptoms.

No. I've never had a bad reaction. We must really pay attention to how we are feeling when we get the shot. If we have, or are coming down with something, all those antibodies will be used up pretty quickly. At least, that's what my doctor told me - but, that was years ago.

Do people generally go to their doctor or to a pharmacy?

It’s the pharmacy for me. My doctor doesn’t want to do them & I don’t want to go to his office.

Make an appointment, in and out in 5 minutes. They do want you to hang around for 10 minutes (shopping).

Oops, forgot the original question. No, I didn’t have any side effects.

Here we go to somewhere in our recreation complex.
Have to make an appointment.
There's one day a week, for the next three weeks.
Not sure who gives the shots............I used to give our horses their needles........maybe i can volunteer to help. :ROFLMAO::D:p:ROFLMAO::p
The # to reach for a appointment is always busy.......so have yet to get through.

Not really, got the double dose, just the usual body a bit warm. It's been weeks I'm fine....Also 2 years ago got the pneumonia...

have gotten flu shot at w-mart since it became free for me. maybe around august, picking up prescriptions, and asked if i wanted the shot right then. then asked do i want 2nd/last pneumonia shot... sure! no side effects from flu shot, but pneumonia shot gave me a SORE arm for a couple of weeks. w-mart used neat band-aids that went on my arm BEFORE the shot! donut shaped with a clear membrane. it went on my arm first (after alcohol) and needle went thru the center.

Same as WCWBF only we get our shots usually the 2nd week of Sept. We get the high dose shots [there is a difference] Per the pharmacist the flu shots take about two weeks to be effective. Early Sept. beats the start of the flu season in October is what we've been told. No reason to doubt that since every flu season we haven't had the flu.
