I was going to a heart doctor in the "Heart Group" place. When he retired, I chose a whole new clinic called the Cardiology Center and got a doctor over there. Now the Heart Group had already a doctor to replace the one that retired. I just told them thank you that I didn't want him, that I was going to go to this other doctor that I had chosen and had them send my records to him. Everything went smoothly,

By the way, I also did the same thing in finding another primary physician.

yes good, I have a thing, about me, choosing my dr, and not someone else- bad ideal just to take one..all dr;s are not created equal or burn out at the same rate.

I found another heart doctor on my own. My heart doctor retired, and was at the Heart Group. There was another center called the Cardiology Center, I looked the doctors out and settled on one, made an appointment, got my records changed over to there and it is all done to my satisfaction and insurance as well.

My healthcare provider which is a system operates a clinic with 3 doctors and 3 physician's assistants. One of the doctors is my primary doctor, but it's possible to see another for some reason. They are human and they could use time off too or have another commitment. One doctor in one practice could leave you out in the cold I believe some times.
