You missed the point. They are domestic not wild animals trained not to eat you!!By the way dogs were once wild animals.
 
Sheer coinsidence a report was issued for a lost young pet skunk in our area. He (my father) went down to pick up something at my aunt's house and discovered a young skunk running around her patio. It turned out to be the wrong skunk. Took years for the smell to leave our house.

Good post, I feel the same. "The Great White Hunter" syndrome still exists.
 
T. rex that could be my bodyguard and provide the courage needed to visit the big city neighborhood and walk the streets that provided a wealth of great memories, but which have sadly devolved into a deadly cesspool that makes Mad Max's dystopia look like the Garden of Eden.
 
We have had many wild animals as "pets" over the years... found young and abandoned. We nursed them back and some became attached and hung around for a while... Had a ground hog that lived in the house for 2 years before he split.....
Had a flying squirl that would glide down and land on you if you had peanuts in your hand after we turned him loose.
 
Koalas have the softest fur you ever touched, but they are extremely rare here in Florida.
A small fox is attractive. We had friendly squirrels at one house we owned. They did not come inside.
The hummingbirds where we lived in Arizona were a delight.

Same here. I did enjoy the San Diego Wild Animal Park which gives animals plenty of room at over 1,800 acres.

Did you ever see the Blue Buffalo cat food commercial where they say that our cats have the soul of a lynx? Every time it comes on I look at my chubby, lazy cat lounging on a pillow, and I really have to wonder...I think she actually has the soul of a couch potato...
