my sister suggested it to me. season 4 started about 5-6 weeks ago. i don't subscribe to netflix so can't get previous seasons. i don't get the title "fargo" cuz (at least so far) NO connection to that great movie. i was hooked after one episode. have had several moments where i almost had to remind myself to breathe! my sister has promised to clue me in if something important pops up from previous seasons that i would NEED to understand. it's 1950's Kansas city and "war" between black criminals and the "ItIs" (pronounced eye-ties) as someone called them in recent episode. at that time, even Italians couldn't get real care in hospitals. we have head of Italian and black factions who trade their own CHILDREN as kind of insurance. we have a nut-job nurse who seems to be randomly killing patients as she feels like it. Chris Rock (and one other actor - Glynn Turman) is about only person i've recognized. i think the cast is mainly Canadian.

watch the movie? it's been a while but i can't think of anything from the movie that connects to what has happened in 1950s KC??

The movie, Fargo. The series is based on the movie. what provider are you watching the series on? I think HULU has the last episodes

We just finished season 2 on Netflix. It’s so well done and so hard on the nerves. We’ll save season 3 for a couple of weeks. No rush as we don’t have FX.

I was anti Netflix until we got it because my DD insisted that I needed to watch Grace & Frankie. Now realize it’s the best money we’ve spent for entertainment.

i'm watching it on FX. the show i've been watching for past 5-6 weeks is set in 1950's Kansas City. NOTHING connected to the botched kidnapping and classic wood chipper scene from the movie.

Yes, is your FX on Hulu, Comcast, what provider? I watch it on comcast and I can see the prior episodes.

I have HULU, Comcast, prime video, and Peacock. I don’t have Netflix. I watch Fargo on FX through Comcast. The 1996 movie Fargo gives you the basic premise of the story, similar but not the same as the first three seasons. If you wanted the basic story line, not just the early seasons.

My online BFF who's very into edgy T.V. shows told me to watch it. I didn't realize the prior seasons were on Netflix, which I have so I'll have to check it out although "edgy" is not what I need right now. I also have Hulu Plus. I never saw the movie Fargo but I heard it was great.

i never heard of the series till my sister suggested i might enjoy it... season 4 started 5-6 weeks ago. i cn watch any of those episodes OnDemand and can't get any of season 1-3 without paying for it.

Same here. "Longmire" is about as edgy as I can handle these days.

It is great. Try and watch it if you can. My daughter has Hulu Plus which includes Disney. I can get Disney on the iPad but not my tv.

I get seasons 1-3 on ON DEMAND which is Comcast which is Xfinity. We much have different packages.

In the original movie, was the actress really pregnant?

I'm familiar with Northern Minnesota and North Dakota.
which actress? as far as we know, nobody's pregnant... yet. there's absolutely NO discernible connection to the movie that i can make out.

I'm talking about the original movie not the tv series.

Jerry Lundegaard's inept crime falls apart due to his and his henchmen's bungling and the persistent police work of the quite pregnant Marge Gunderson.

Frances McDormand's character in Fargo was pregnant. The actress herself was not pregnant.
see... that's my problem. there is NOTHING about the film in this new season". it takes place in 1950, Kansas City. crime/drug battles between black criminals and the "eye-ties" (Italians). previously the battles over illegal activities were between the Irish & Jews.

Series one through three were on Netflix. Series four is on Apple TV for $3.49 a show. No way.

Spoiler alert in case someone is going to watch Series 3. Not many details, just questions.

Series three left me confused. They never explained (that I was able to logic out) what the first part in Berlin was about. Then the age of the first Stussey was 84 when he died in 2010. Yet he was only about 20 in 1975.

Are we still talking about Fargo? If so, I can't find any of its seasons on Netflix.

my sister told me about this series as it was about to start season 4 and the finale is this sunday. there is absolutely NO discernible connection to the wood-chipper film?? it's on the FX channel. i don't get Netflix (still don't understand what's so great about it?) and none of previous seasons is on FX.

this season is in Kansas City in 1950. early on the crime "war" was between the Irish & the Jews. to fend off outright massacre, the head of each side had the CHILD of his enemy... as insurance?. i'm totally into this show though haven't watched an episode that didn't leave me with a major HUH?? and made me have to remind myself to BREATHE!!
