Just Great memories

I'm down to just the two sisters and their children and grandchildren. My younger Brother passed last year and of course as I've already said my Mother the first of this month at the age of 90. I called a good friend in Nevada this morning and talked a long time, got caught up on all the people I knew while living there. For the longest time the old black n white of the Ford and my Buffalo Bob suit has reminded me of the backyard the photo was taken in Houston. My Aunt Opal and Uncle Leo had a nice barbecue pit enclosed with a good size room and screened to keep the mosquitoes from molesting you while you ate. None of it is there any longer and the freeway expansion 30 years ago came in sight from that backyard. A look into the future I guess it was

Nice photos... :) it's often very cathartic to take a walk down memory lane now and again

Top picture must have been around Christmas time, Mat, as I see you had no mustache in it.

You decided to go clean-shaven for the holidays I gather? :)

My baby brother used to follow dad into the bathroom and shave with him, even though baby brother was only age 3 or 4. Dad had a butterfly razor for baby brother, too, just no blade in it. Cutest thing ever to see!

Aw, Mat. A Buffalo Bob shirt- you can't get any cooler than that. And you had two "six shooters". Wow! You had it all.
Later I got a pair of Buster Brown Combat Boots. I really had to beg for those because they cost more than just the normal shoes. Those were the toughest Boots made for a kid, you couldn't wear them out the leather was so thick. At the time I really had no idea they were made like the Army issued boots of WWII with the two upper ankle straps. I just thought they looked cool !

No one dared go near that house with ill intensions. I had a two gun set once I think it was a Roy Rogers thing. I'm sure the first time I strapped it on I felt like the roughest toughest good guy in the West.
