Historical perspective on attitudes concerning death and dying.

What happened to me was I searched nearly my entire life for something that missing. I dabbled in spiritualism and new-age religion but nothing I tried sufficed so I kept searching.
I knew about Christianity as much as anyone that is not Christian, but once I surrendered myself by faith to Jesus my life changed in ways only God could achieve.

Jesus is the gateway to God the Creator, the Holy Spirit is the presence of God in us as believers. God is all three God, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The Holy Trinity illustrates the life cycle of mankind.

Before salvation I was confused because I could not see God, who opened my mind and heart so I may understand love. Love is forgiveness, Love is strength. Love is patience, Love abounds without limitation. Love is you and me just as we are.

I don’t know you outside of this forum, but rest assured you are loved.

I agree except apprently the Holy Ghost has been update to be called the Holy Spirit. 🙄. Seems the word Ghost is frightening to the little kids so the name was changed. A rose by any other name 😂
 

Nice story about mankind's beginning but makes wonder about how Eve would listen to a serpent. Made from Adams rib and Adam was God's creation why then the deviation from perfection to what is a popular tale about why mankind sins?

This is a Christian belief so if the population that aren't Christian don't buy the story what is their fate?

Their fate? The fate of non Christians is in the hands of God. The fate of Christians is in the hands of God. The fate of the people who don’t believe is in the hands of God. The fate of Jesus Christ was also in the hands of God.

What if there is no God? Then everyone is simply just dead, and if you are dead, and if there is no God, then you are still just dead. Just dead. 😂. We don’t get to find out the ending until we die and either wake up where we thought we would; or we don’t wake up where we thought we would cause we don’t wake up. Cause we are just dead. @Knight

WOW. That as a thought has to be really depressing to those that have blind faith that believe there is someplace our souls/spirit goes after we die.

Since God & others were around 13 billion years ago & are believed to still be somewhere out side the heavens that were "created" 13 billion years ago, why would you want to cast doubt on that being possible?

What if there is no God? Casting doubt on blind faith that we might not meet our relatives that go as far back as Neanderthal mankind if they were good & got a pass to eternity could be depressing to those that believe that is going to happen. I'm on the side of "Cause we are just dead." and that's all there is.

I believe in heaven. Honestly,it is that belief and my faith in God that keeps me going during the bad times. I can’t even comprehend how people can go on living if they think this life on earth is all we have. Why or how do they get through the pain and sufferings in this world?

I don’t know how people do not believe in something, but I don’t believe that people believe in nothing. I have heard lots of so called non believers curse God. If you blame God for your troubles than you are a believer.

We, believers, find it a comfort to believe that the nearly 2 million people who have died globally of the virus, and the other people who have died this year of other causes will find another life with whatever Savior they believe in. I can not imagine not believing this.

The death of each and every person matters. We believers pray for everyone, non-believers are included in those prayers.
