I just decided to come in and see what was happening. Actually, hoping to hang with some others of my kind on Christmas Day (for me). I am not totally alone as I finally had a God-sent come into my life. She is a whole, 5 pounds of doggy and a perfect match for me. No training necessary, lol, and she loves to go on walks. Today will be hard because it's pouring rain and she doesn't like to do her duty on days like this. I put a potty-pad down but she won't use it, and will not go anywhere except outside. When she has to go bad enough she will let me know and we go out into the wind and rain ;)

So I have some decorations up and some of my fave Christmas music with scenery going on my Roku tv.

Hi @Denise1952 I’m a relatively new-comer; nice to meet you. Not retired yet (in fact I’m on-call with my nursing job today ) but starting to plan. A merry Christmas to you and your canine friend!
 
Hi C'est Moi, the same to you :) I was over checking out the Virtual Party Needshave is having. What a need house/room! I gotta say how much I miss the family gatherings 💕

It's nice to meet you :) I figured there was bound to be others here. We are sure lucky to have our internet.

I'm so ready to work again, at something. I'm not good at coming up with things to do on my own so I need a boss, lol!!

Hi Pinky, so nice to meet you too! I'll be watching for breaks in the rain so I can take her out again. I live on the coast and it can rain for hours, but usually, it will let up, even the Sun may come out for a time ;)

Hi Rose, thank you, yes, I'm doing ok. Mimmie has been such a blessing because I have to think of her, which is very easy ;) She gets me going 🏃‍♀️

Hi Holly! She's a Deer Chihuahua, or that is what she looks most like. I am not 100% sure of her breed. She was a sad little thing when I first saw her. I was nervous about getting her because I didn't know how she'd be but she was like night and day! Everyone that knew her and her last home said they couldn't believe the change in her, all good. She even plays catch with me and does the zoomies through the apartment, so fun. She and I really needed each other ;)

Hi Lee ;) nice to see you too, and a Merry Christmas! I usually have to carry her under the umbrella, and then put her down where she usually goes. That will work sometimes ;) She's funny (smart) because the minute the outer door opens (we live in a secured building) and she sees the rain, it's no go, so yes, I have to carry her ;)

I don't know if I told you in the past but we ( my daughter) has a chihuahua ..pixie...here she is... clambering up on my legs...

Ohhhh! She looks just like Mimmie (Named her that after the Mimosa Flower because she can be so shy). Just a different color! Isn't it a funny feeling those tiny little paws on your legs Holly?? Mimmie does that to get my attention when I am on the puter, LOL!!

Exactly, her tiny little paws are so light , and not like a real dog at all.... :giggle:..she loves to be carried, she hates the cold, but conversely she hates to wear a little jacket when it is cold, but she also loves to run at the waters edge at the beach
