Word of the Day: Marzipan

Marzipan is a confection consisting primarily of sugar or honey and almond meal (ground almonds), sometimes augmented with almond oil or extract. It is often made into sweets; common uses are chocolate-covered marzipan and small marzipan imitations of fruits and vegetables.
 
Marzipan sounds delicious but I don't recall if I've ever had it. Sometimes at family get togethers there would be sweets put out for all but with no name tags on them, unfortunately--so I very well may have had some--just don't know:unsure:;)

Marzipan is a sweet thick almond paste rolled out , which is used as a layer on top of cakes or into shapes as sweets with added colouring ...
