I loved Cream of Wheat when my grandma made it. When I bought some (and made it myself) a few years ago I swear that is *not even* the same stuff.

No. It's mayonnaise flavored with maple syrup. On one of those TV cooking shows, a cook served it with a bacon/burger/cheese sandwich. He said that it was favored by people who like sweet-potato French fries.

It's not the old Maypo oatmeal cereal.
