Getting old does have its downfalls..

I have no idea what my wife was thinking, apparently she wasn’t, but she put some frozen French fries in the oven for supper. But the dish she put them in was a hard plastic microwave bowl. Anyway, after and hour, or so, we finally got all the melted plastic off the racks and bottom of the oven. We use putty knives. Getting old sucks. Oh, and the fries and bowl were fused together. No fries for me...

It happens. A few weeks ago, my hubby put a plastic container in the toaster oven to heat up leftovers. The lid melted, but the rest didn't. He confused it for the microwave we got rid of.

He/she who is dissatisfied, can do it themselves next time. Anyone of us could do something like that undler the right circumstances. Lack of good sleep is one of them.

I'm sure some of us have made similar 'mistakes'. Glad there wasn't a fire though. I'd hate to clean up the stuck plastic. Uggghhh.

I don't know which is worse.....the dumb-ass mistakes I made when I was young and clueless or the dumb-ass mistakes I make now because I'm old and vague....
I think they amount to the same thing.
Keep fresh batteries in the smoke detector and remember the secret to getting old is not telling the kids about these things!
The kids do stupid things. They have no right to judge.

Even before a possible fire, just noticing a lot more work because of off moments. Take comfort we made it this far, now we can only hope for a stressed free life from here on... despite the occasional slip-ups
