So I paid $24.99 for 13 items and that includes the $5.50 shipping fee. That comes up to about $2.00 each. I think it is a reasonable amount for this box and best of all I didn't have to leave home to get it. This is what I ordered (and I got to choose it all) in the Mischief Box Subscription: Red Radishes, Bunched, Napa Cabbage, Scallions, Ginger Root, Large Red Onion (I got 2), Large Yellow Onion, Green Bell Peppers (got 2), Mini Seedless Cucumber (got 3), Mixed Head Lettuce (includes the root with dirt on it, which is a good thing), Celery (not wimpy at all), Curly Kale (already approved by Rabbit), Broccoli and Earth Greens Organic Spring Mix, 5 Oz.

The box is heavy and is made of the cardboard that grocery stores get their produce in.

This is what I ordered and received. All in very good condition and fresh. Packaged very well. I will order it again and have added the price to my budget. It is handy for me since I do not have a car anymore, especially during the winter.

We have Misfits also, and I like it even better now that we can choose from the food available which things we are interested in. When I first started last summer, you just got whatever they sent out, but now they have a list of the items that you can chose from.
I started with the larger box, less often, but with fresh foods you can’t keep them for very long, so now I am doing the smaller box.

I like that everything is organic, and that it saves good food from being thrown away. They are expanding and adding more areas all of the time, so places that they didn’t deliver to before, will be getting delivery before too long.
The ultimate goal is to be able to send out local produce to each area, and that will be even better, because then the farmers who live here in Alabama will be getting paid for foods that might have to be thrown away before.

Is the food chilled?
Yes, it is. It comes in a very well insulated container, almost like a styrofoam cooler, plus inside are several frozen ice bags. Everything is still fresh and chilled when we get it, maybe fresher than just bringing it home from the grocery store. The $5 they charge for shipping is not much for that kind of packaging, and such a heavy box of food items.
We have never had anything that was not acceptable, and in good condition to eat.
They also have other addable items that you can order if you want to, and you pay for those in addition to your food box. I have not done this, but there are a whole lot more items that you can buy and save money with, and everything is organic.
