I know despite the pandemic lockdowns many of us are still buying online as well as the stores which are still open during the crises.... so what was your favourite purchase of 2020?

I bought a lot I have to admit, but early in the year Laura Ashley stores became a High St Victim of the pandemic, and although it's very sad to see them go.. I picked up a couple of real bargains as they closed their last stores .. 2 super lightweight 4 wheel trolley suitcases for a fraction of their full pirce...

..so what was your best buy in of 2020...?

I bought a Vornado room heater from Home Depot because we've had heating problems in our building the past 2 yrs.It warms up my living room quickly the days I don't have heat
I bought 5 terrific books on Amazon,4 of them are historical fiction

Ohhhh...tell me the name of the books. Please.

Before the pandemic closed everything up in March, I bought my grandson this. It was in a bag and after I picked him up from school and we were home, I gave him the bag and he gave it back and I said "No no it's for you" and he opened the bag and looked astounded and looked at me with bliss. Out of all his other toys (too many, IMO) this seems to be his favorite. They are rarely apart.

Next best was finally a new mattress & frame which I sorely needed. The old springs were -- oh it was just awful. Bought a boxed mattress. Like Purple, but another one. Very comfortable. Hurt to spend, but had to and glad I did.

My husband would rather buy books though; I'm trying hard to convince him to buy a recliner.
I have a very nice one from Backsaver. It is shaped better, takes up less space, is better to look at, and after 25 years shows very little wear. They are expensive, but worth it. They come in different sizes. Mine is for people 5ft 9in to 6 ft. The leather options are excellent as well.

Do they have any made for 4'8" ? Just kidding.

A chair is too individual to be purchased without trying. Even after trying a nice recliner, you can still get it wrong.

My next recliner will have electric controls. It would be nice if it vibrated my butt too. JK on that. Maybe not, now that I think about it. 😊
