Companies that send you a coupon for the same item you had a problem with.

I rarely complain to food companies unless the item is really bad or such poor quality.
This past Thanksgiving I decided to try Green Giant corn in butter sauce that you heat in the micro wave.
I must have stood there with it in my hand for over 10 minutes trying to decide. I knew I could make a delicious simple butter sauce for corn and in the back of my head A little voice was telling me stop being so lazy and don't buy, but I did.
It was so tough I doubt a cow could chew it and the sauce was tasteless besides being expensive even when it was on sale.
I wrote to the company and a few weeks later I got coupons for the exact same item. If I didn't like it the first time I'm sure not going to like it the 2nd time.
A few people I talked to said they had a similar problem with other companies.
Can't they at least send a coupon for anything they make?
I guess this is my first rant of the New Year hopefully the last.

I always save my receipt whenever I try something new, that way if it's a flop I can get my money back.

Myself, I enjoy voicing my displeasure over a manufacturers product, because if no one complains, nothing changes.

I wouldn't hesitate (if you have the time and patience, Ruth), to contact the maker back and request coupons for one of their other products.

@Aunt Marg I think I will follow up on that. I have my receipt but these days the stores around here will not accept returns.
Last week the hubby bought chunky peanut butter instead of the creamy that we always use. I tried to return it but because of the virus they wouldn't take it back. I talked to the manager and he said it was the policy. I really couldn't argue but it seemed silly to me. How many hands touched that jar before I bought it.
So I bought a big jar of the creamy stuff for myself and told the hubby he has a lot of chunky peanut butter to eat so he better get his jaws in gear.

Why not, Ruth, give it a whirl.

That old saying, "you don't know until you try", holds true on this one.
