I've always said that science fiction becomes science fact. This is not the first venture into this kind of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. About three years ago I read the article below (or a similar article) about the consciousness of dead people being put into AI form. There are practical and ethical concerns about this technology. The article continues past several ads until you see the FB, Twitter and email icons.

Microsoft was not involved in the project linked above. Around the same time I read that article I saw a Joe Rogan special in which he visited a woman who created a robot in the image of her girlfriend, who happened to be Black, with all of her memories. The robot moved and had a conversation with Joe as if she was human and he was flabbergasted. I don't remember if the model for this bot had died or was still alive. Ironically Bill Gates was one of the people, along with Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking who mentioned that AI could end life as we humans know it. This Microsoft endeavor is being compared to the SciFi series Black Mirror.

All AI is , is very advanced mathematical, statistical calculation and probability theory and no possible ways to hook that up with human neurons.

uploading human consciousness into robots to cheat death.. I remember watching a short documentary - I think it was an episode of Nova - about a guy who has and talks to a robotic bust of his deceased wife, but I can't find it. "She" was like the one in this clip >

There is a movie about this but the name escapes me. The consciousness was in a machine and professed to still love a certain woman which freaked her out. In the end, everything was blown up.

Intriguing, but a bit misleading in that in no case is there an "actual" connection to the dearly departed, rather the AI production is a collage of whatever digital files are on hand. The AI algorithm can then manipulate the output drawn from the database, much in the same way that Apple's Siri or Google's assistant interacts with queries from users.

Bill Gates is the devil.

Bill Gates is the devil.
Chic, a good friend of mine has been saying this. She pointed out some things that maybe the average person isn't aware of. Some of his obstensibly helpful actions are actually insidious. I have to look for some of the things she posted about him.
