Multi-Purpose spaces

I'm trying to do my DT GCSE Mock at the moment and we have to design something on multi-purpose spaces, my brief is for older people. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they would use a multi-purpose design and if it would be helpful in their life?

I have multi-purpose spaces in my small apartment and I use them daily and they are a helpful convenience.

Can you be specific about your design(s)?
Thank you for responding
I am in a very early design stage at the moment, but it was going to be something that could fit in a small area to maximise space and de-clutter. I was thinking a bed into a desk, or something of that sorts.
But its great to know that it is useful in apartments and that it is very useful.

For seniors, having to do any sort of lifting, pulling, or pushing to transform a bed, which is something one uses nightly if not more often (i.e., for naps), is something you want to keep in mind. It isn't likely a senior would be attracted to a converting bed unless it's in a guest room.

This has already been done several times.

Thank you so much, this has been so helpful!!

Senior apartment are small and some are tiny. Here’s an ideal.

A combination type dresser which holds dirty clothes on one side and a pet crate situation on the other side with drawers in between for dog supplies and other stuff. The non scratch non slip top would work for folding clothes, putting a small pet on to groom and/or even train, and other various uses.

I will share the royalties with you. šŸ˜‚
