Get ready to welcome Bill, he could almost qualify by age twice over!

I've suggested to a friend of mine, someone I met five years ago, though I knew his son quite well in school, that he comes take a look at this forum to see if it'd to his liking(?).

Now Bill's a leader rather than a follower, and as yet I've not found his email address to aid him finding this website, (I emailed it to his son instead, so can't be absolutely certain he'll forward it, and his son has lived all his professional life in New Zealand, hence we lost touch etc.), so he might not join, in fact its quite likely he won't, as he didn't jump at my suggestion this morning.

However, if he does join, and take part in discussions, he's got a very quick brain, and not just for his age, and some sporting achievements in his youth to relate, (one of only two boys in the history of our school to play first team rugby union four years in succession!).

Even the sporting achievements are overshadowed by musical talent, as a violin player, almost to concert standards, he plays piano pretty well too, with or without sheet music and so on.

I hope we see him here, and he meets or communicates with more nice folks across the globe, and he told me earlier, a lady my age we both met in a very well known bar locally called the "Snowgoose", has kept in touch with him due to their mutual interest in music, (she lives in France BTW, but not bad to make a friend when you're ninety odd is it).

Bill's got stories alright, I've now found his email address, (under "William" obviously!), and sent him the link, but in any case when I rang him this morning his son in New Zealand had already kindly forwarded it, but he seemed a bit busy so I didn't pry further as to whether he might take a look at the forum, (maybe he's got a girlfriend?).

I did mention whether or not there is an recording of his wonderful playing, the piano, or the violin, (I've yet to her him play believe it or not, because he damaged the end of of his fingers a while back so couldn't play until it fully healed properly, but he's okay again now. He didn't answer my question, but he isn't shy, so one way or another we'll manage to persuade him to show off his skills I'm sure. 👌.

No sign of Bill then yet,.......?

If I can I'll try to post a short video clip, or recording of his playing so wonderfully, maybe going back to his son who was a school friend of mine, and who has done so well in New Zealand, (there ate many tales to tell about him too! :). ).

Can anyone find a man called Bill, whose played the fiddle a bit, to come and join the forum briefly, just to save the day, and this thread before it disappears into the ether? :( :)
