Is this a reasonable price for a jar of molasses?

I am running low on molasses. I used to get it at Job Lots, but haven't had to buy any in over a year and it is no longer listed on their Web page. The brand I usually get is available at the local market, but it seems to be a little over-priced. Of course, everything seems to have inflated precipitously in the last year for some reason. Is over $8 for a 710 ml jar reasonable?

Go to a local feed store and ask for a gallon of unrefined livestock molasses.

Be sure to mention that you want something that is safe for human consumption.

My opinion is this, very little (if anything at all) when it comes to value and price today, is reasonable or worth it.

I wouldn't get molasses at a feed store.
I tried some & developed a terrible craving for grass & hay.

I didn’t know molasses came in a jar. My bran muffins recipe calls for molasses. The price seems fair to me. Don’t skimp on quality.
