For me it’s my technology....my phone, computer, AirPods etc. They allow management of both my business and personal life that saves enormous amounts of time and clutter ... no more piles of paper, calendars to upkeep etc.

I can be hands free while I multitask...working on something while also talking on the phone, listening to an audio book, self-help podcast etc.

I know technology isn’t for everyone here, but man!! It’s sure made my life a whole bunch more efficient.

My husband, like a cranky touchy fully paid for old out of date too large for the space washing machine; he still works and with a few curses he will complete the job with the maximum of groaning, squeaking, and burning rubber smell.

I have lots, so aside from my computer, kindle, Ipad & mobile phone...

I would say my cordless lawnmower.... goodness me having a corded mower is a real PITA... so a cordless makes it so much quicker to get the lawns mowed without tripping over cable, or wrapping it around the handle ...equally my corded hedge trimmer

...another would be my ipad holder pillow stand which sits neatly on my knee on a chair or in bed , and doesn't fall off.. very comfortable to use...

My TV. Not only for entertainment. I live alone. And I live out in the sticks. It's quiet here. Damn quiet. I had to move a clock to the front room, because it ticked too loud. I just need something that makes noise.

Although a lot of it is just electronic files I'd have to say it's my music. It's the thing that adds the most consistent pleasure to my life. I've got about 700 CDs, 100 vinyl albums and several thousand music files that aren't from my CDs.

I've got to say my freezers. Without those I would have had to go shopping every few days during the last year of the pandemic, but with them, and my large pantry in the barn, I've been able to keep it to around once a month !!

The best, most useful thing I own depends on what I'm doing.
Laundering? Then my washer and dryer.
Cooking? My stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, mixer, or other appliances.
Sleeping? My comfortable bed, yummy sheets and blankets.
Cold, hot or rainy outside? My sealed roof and HVAC system.

Modern conveniences are like pinky toes. We take them for granted until problems arise with them.
