A Do Not Resuscitate Story

I have on to many occasions been standing there making the decision on letting one pass.
More than a few actually involved the patient themselves telling me... But this one here beats the dam cake....

A 99 year old man is brought into the ER because he keeps passing out... Family forced him and he is mad about it... says hes fine.
We start the evaluation and he suddenly goes out... Has V-Tach on the monitor... a deadly heart rhythm...
Doctor does a Precordial Thump... basically a hard punch to the chest... and the guy sits up and curses out the doc....
So the Doc talks to the family about a DNR... they say ask him.... so the doc does.... And I wish I had a video....
This guy is about deaf, and simple country boy... Doc shouting about a DNR and the poor guy has no clue what hes talking about....
So the Doc is leaned down, shouting in this guys ear...
" If your heart stops ... do you want us to pound on your chest, put a tube down your throat and put you on a breathing machine?"
The guy has this blank dumbfound look on his face for about 10 seconds, then it turns into a look of outrage... and he screams out....

" WHAT THE HELL YOU ASKING ME FOR..... YOUR THE GD DOCTOR".....
I thought I was gonna pee myself....

His name's not Ove is it? THAT patient sounds like he's got enough life left in him to take the world on by storm...but does the world need another old curmudgeon...yeah they're good for a laugh and we all need a laugh...Ever read "A Man Called Ove"? He's just like the patient you described yet ya gotta' love' em...
