Antibodies testing?

Has anyone been tested for antibodies to covid 19? Maybe a lot of us have been exposed over the past year and our immune systems have survived the virus even without us getting get sick from it.

I would submit to an antibodies test. Maybe if we tested for antibodies we wouldn't have to worry so much about vaccinations. How do you feel about antibodies testing? It couldn't hurt and it might help.

There are many people that feel they had something and early on last year the test were all scarce and reserved for those appearing with bad symptoms or obviously ill.....
I know a of a couple who sought out antibodies test but were told the tests were not reliable not worth it etc.....

i would hope that they improved over time ..................but in the way this whole things has worked some people simply Refuse to believe in the volume of people who had virus with mild, few or no symptoms......

i do not know what good these tests would be as so many now............... as they start arguing that the new variants will still make you sick........and assumptions that antibodies from fighting off real virus does not last......
harder sell of shot if they found the antibodies did last on those folks who had mild or no symptoms.
i would think those who say they want things back to normal they would want to actually have a clearer picture of those walking around with antibodies..... then Assuming no one has any UNLESS they have been vaccinated.

I would think it would only be useful as a method to track if the vaccine is working, and for how long. That way we would have an ideal when a booster was needed and I feel the Johnson would be what I wanted for a booster at this point in time.

Myself, I personally have wished they were more available and being offered..
To anyone who would like one, who has not been vaccinated,
and/Or, also to anyone who would like to have one, a few weeks after their 2nd vaccine.... or perhaps, 6 months later.

No. This has nothing to do with vaccines. This would tell if people have developed Natural immunities to the virus by exposure to it over the past year. People used to survive pandemics BEFORE vaccines. There would be nothing left of the human race if we didn't.

I saw a segment on the news about this and thought it was a good idea. Some folks don't want to be vaccinated, but might not mind submitting to an antibodies test. It would help the CDC to learn more.

Are you in a trial group, Chic? I can't imagine that my Medicare plan would pay for me to get antibody tests every week.

I'm not getting antibodies tests every week. Never said I was. But antibodies testing would be a good way to discover if unvaccinated people have developed antibodies to the virus through their own immune systems.

Which is what I said, it would tract how long the vaccine worked and “help the CDC learn more”.
