touchdown on Mars!

Yes! I watched it too on the NASA channel! Such admiration for all those who made it happen!

This expedition is also about preparing for human habitation on Mars. It's years off, but coming. Damn, I wish I would still be here for that. And I would hate to miss them finding evidence of life on Mars, if it exists. Heck, it'd be cool to have a little Martian guy waving at the camera.:)

Check this out. I learned this morning the atmosphere on Mars is 1/100th of that of Earth meaning things cant fly there but figured out how to do it with their helicopter.

Anyone watch NOVA on 2/24/21? Insight to the incredible effort by al of the team members researching, designing and building all of the equipment that is now part of the probe. Those engineers and scientists are so smart it makes my jaw drop. Talk about perfection. I can't imagine working under such pressure to get it right and then to watch it travel such a distance waiting on pins and needles to witness it land hoping beyond hope that all goes right. If you did not watch this show you missed a lot.

I would love to work at NASA. It is so cool when there's this nail biting time, when things have to go so right, and the spacecraft sends an "I'm OK" message back home. Then everybody jumps up, hi fiving, clapping, all smiles. That would be so cool to work there.
