What, me worry?

On Monday, I go to the dentist first thing in the morning. I am not looking forward to Monday because I don't like rushing around. We have to drop off our taxes and get my wife's second COVID shot. Each of these things is some distance from the other, so a lot of rushing around to get it all in. I keep telling my self that someday, all this is going to stop and I will finally be able to retire, but it never does stop. There is always something.

This might be my imagination but there are several small things that can happen that indicates I'm going to have a bad day
I always have 2 fried eggs in the morning. I absolutely hate when the yolks break in the pan. This means the rest of the day isn't going to be good.
I forget to take the frozen meat out of the freezer the night before that I was going to have for dinner.
The hubby mentions over breakfast that he wants me to look something up on the computer and then adds, anytime you get a chance, which means I have to look it up right away because if I don't its on my mind for the rest of the day.
This looking something up can last 2 hours and nine times out of ten he never uses the info I finally find for him,
then I'm in a foul mood that messes me up for most of the day.

A while back I was flossing my teeth vigorously, ended up pulling the crown off a front tooth!

Fortunately the drug store carries a dental adhesive that is appropriate for crowns.
I wish I'd know that when it happened to me. I kept the crown .. but it somehow got lost down the sink drain. Cost me big $$$ to have a new one made

Tell your dentist that you want some MAD glue or adhesive for that tooth of yours. :)

Yes, the old mad scramble to drop in here, drop in there, race over to that place, and then over to another place.

I myself am best when I have nothing booked in the morning. I like to wake up on my own and ease myself into the day, not feel like someone is poking me in the butt with an electric prod.

Oh no! At first I thought my crown had gone down the drain, I tried to take the drain trap apart but found that someone had glued the plastic fitting. Later, I found it on the floor...glad I didn't step on it.

Ruth, you and me are two peas in a pod!

My wife called the dentist, who in turn suggested I put toothpaste in the crown and stuff it back in place until Monday. So I did that and it seems to be holding. I am careful what I am eating until then and am trying to eat on the opposite side of my mouth.

I may have to ask my dentist if she can install that decorative space between my front teeth for that classic Alfred E. Neuman look.

My best days are those (rare) days with nothing booked at all. Then, I can drift along until about 10 AM before starting on activities I choose for the day. I wish at least most days could be like that.

Like yourself, I love my mornings to be uneventful, non-rushed, and with absolutely nothing on the agenda.

Easing at my own speed into the day is what I enjoy best. Some days I'll have 2-3 cups of coffee, other days less/more, but I never worry over watching the clock or feeling as though I have to get started on anything, and that's the way life should be.

I still hold hope that there will eventually be more days as you describe (except that I don't like coffee ;)).
