How's this for a mobile home?

Part of Old Sacramento sold off some early mostly Victorian style homes for $1 back in the 80s, I think. The new owners bore the cost of moving them and then upgrading them probably, but still an irresistible deal. And it never felt commonplace to see them in-transit.

Back in the early 1930's, they moved the Bell Telephone office in Indianapolis 50 feet and gave it a quarter turn. It took them a month. The amazing part is that telephone service was not interrupted.

Another amazing move was the limestone old Mariner's Church in Detroit, which weighed 6 million pounds and was moved 900 feet. It was set down on a huge number of jacks. A worker stood at each jack and when a whistle was sounded, each jack was turned one quarter turn simultaneously. It took a long time to get it down on its new foundation, with very little damage being done.
