Florida Motorcycle Rally And Spring Breakers

No mask rules are voided in many states now but there is a good sample coming out of Florida. A bike rally with most not wearing masks and the college spring breakers in Florida. At this writing NBC news is reporting many businesses are moving to FL because of the lax mask rules especially restaurants and hotels. I will keep an eye on the news in the coming weeks just see the impact if any. Hoping for the best.

I'm skeptical about "businesses moving to Fla because of lax mask rules" since the pandemic will be under control in a few months because of the rate people are being vaccinated. It takes a lot of work to start a business and develop your brand, so for someone to just pick up and move like that is highly unlikely. If they are moving to Fla, it's probably due to other factors, or they're just blowing hot air, kind of like when people say that if so-and-so gets elected, they'll move out of the country.

That same thought occurred to me. Having owned a small business for many years, I know that entering an unfamiliar market based on such flimsy reasoning would be a fool's errand.

I figure we are in a race between people getting vaccinated, and yet another spike in this Covid. With warmer weather arriving, and rules being relaxed, I expect the "spike' will win this next race....between now and early Summer. After that, there should be enough people vaccinated such that the return to normal can seriously begin.

On 3/7/21 60 Minutes did a piece on the impact of the virus on the poor, the homeless and people with minimum wage jobs. It pissed me off to see the clowns thinking it is an infringement on their freedom to wear masks while others have lost everything due to the virus. Seems to me if you are so determined to stand up for your right to not wear a mask I would ask why then did you? Mask burning parties? This "great" country gets dumber by the minute. Ship of fools. It's not the getting sick issue rather the long term effects that may last a lifetime that should be the concern. More than a half million Americans lie dead while the nation has decided the threat is gone.
