An inclusive language guide. Do you agree?

A posh Manhatten school has put out a guide to infer one should not use the terms, "Mom and Dad" or the word "parents". Instead one is to use terms as: "grownups", "folks,"" family" or "guardian".
Instead of "Merry Christmas" one is to use the term, "Happy Holidays".
Instead of saying,"boys and girls" "Ladies and gentlemen" one is to use the term " People" "friends", "folks".
Also, One is not to assume gender because "sexuality can be fluid."

My personal opinion is: I'm against censoring free speech and free expression.
But, How do YOU feel about this?
 

For me it's Merry Christmas and Happy Easter. They're our traditional holidays. I have friends of other religions and they wish me Merry Christmas even if they don't celebrate themselves. If I know they have a holiday I wish them that.

We've got a new word in Sweden. Instead of saying han (He) or hon (She) people are now saying hen which is gender neutral.

It will explain why your best friend, who is a girl, dresses and looks like a boy. It will explain why Mary janeā€™s mom and dad are both male or both female. It opens a conversation with the kiddies, a needed conversation, to reduce fear when they see a mommy kissing a mommy. The old ā€œget a roomā€ just does not work.
 
As far as the Christmas greeting goes, if I know that someone is a Christian, I say Merry Christmas to them. If I know that they are of a non-Christian religion, I say Happy Holidays to them.

I live in an area where I see people of all nationalities and faiths. Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, & Buddhist. I don't feel that it's any problem to wish anyone a 'happy' or 'merry' holiday, no matter what that holiday might be.

There has never been a war on Christmas. Just some selfish people who want it to seem that way so they don't have to consider the feelings of others.

That school in Manhatten is fighting an uphill battle. Especially on not using Mom and Dad.

I've used the term happy holidays before so I'm not saying merry christmas all the time but being told I can't say something I grew up with is ridiculous.
