Ten people killed in Boulder, Colo shooting

The more I see of this nonsense going on every day, the happier I am to be living in the boondocks. This pandemic, and the restrictions many urban areas have had to implement seems to be driving many people over the edge.

I think I agree. Its not Jesus who recommends killing. It's the people who twist his words of love and forgiveness into hate. God Help Us.
Jesus warned that there would come divisions in families and elsewhere because some unbelievers hate Him and hate his followers. Jesus warned that some believers would be killed by the haters because they hate Jesus. But Jesus just wants us to love one another on both sides of the coin...whilst staying steadfast in their faith.

His brother said he was bullied in high school because he was Muslim. Which religion was he?

Another tragedy in Boulder. Still no added information on the JoBenet Ramsey case.

It has to be really scary to be trapped in a super market and have an active shooter in there with you. This is why I always leave my home armed. I want at least an equal chance for survival.

Yes @911, but you're a professional, you're a cop. It's a blessing to others that you carry.

I have read and heard many different ideas regarding gun control. Each time someone suggests an idea, another person has a counter to it that dismantles that idea.

As it stands now, there are so many guns in the U.S. that I seriously doubt that any idea is 100% workable. We can do all the psychological testing, have longer waiting periods and even do picture/fingerprinting ID’s and it will all be in vain. Guns are out there and they are readily available for purchasing. Even getting the AR’s, Uzi’s and other assault style weapons off the street won’t stop mass or serial killings.

Question to all in the USofA.

Does the 2nd amendment make your country a safer place?

Or does the 2nd amendment simply help bolster these shootings?

When the U.S. Bill of Rights, which included the 2nd, was made law of the land, the Amendment's only constrained the Federal govt. The 2nd was not incorporated to apply to the individual states until 2010. Although it was always the position of the National Rifle Association it always did.

IMO, the 2nd does NOT make the country safer. It seems redundant that if it did, why these continual mass executions? At one time in the U.S., Washington D.C., our Capital, was the Murder capital of the U.S., believe it or not.

The 2017 Sutherland Springs church shooting occurred in "the boondocks." Nobody is safe from this kind of thing.
