"Excessive Speed." (Duh)
I expected some B.S. "Tiger Woods may have accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake."
Yeah, I hate it when that happens. Happens all the time to me.......
Yes, that sometimes happens - to elderly drivers; not to someone Tiger Woods' age.

Compare this true story to Tigers. "A motorist who crashed after swerving to avoid a couch dropped by a truck on a Florida highway has been ticketed for "failing to drive in a single lane."

I remember that one - a real gem. Are police departments so desperate, they're taking anyone?

Whatever the reason for Woods crash, his future participation in any golf tournaments is probably not going to happen...due to his injuries. He will probably have to pad his future earnings with TV commercials.

No big surprise. It sounds like he isn't going to be cited, maybe being a celebrity has something to do with it. I believe that under California law a person can be charged criminally if there are injuries in a single car TC, the driver himself being the victim.

He's worth about $800 million, so at least he can be selective about which commercials he does.

Well, at least he was the only one hurt.
Yeah, this time. What about the next time? He should have his license taken away from him for the rest of his life, period! He has enough money to afford a chauffeur. What a crock of BS: "Tiger Woods may have accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake." Yeah for how long to hit over 85 mph in a 45 mph zone?

ROFLMAO!

I think you're onto something, Nathan! :giggle:

I'm surprised at the stupidity of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. They think people are stupid enough to believe that he not only used the wrong pedal by accident, he also kept the accelerator pedal pressed & didn't realize the vehicle was accelerating.
It would be much smarter if they said other B.S. like: "We're having trouble determining the speed of the vehicle because the black box was damaged in the crash."

What bugs me in addition to his spoiled "celebrity" status is that the cops didn't test him for being under the influence . . . because there was no need. B.S.
He was speeding way over the posted limit and "walks" away free as a bird?
Wonder how they would treat you or I . . . the common nobody.
I was hit by a car once riding my bike to work. The cop gave me a ticket as I lay on the table in the emergency room for being on the wrong side of the road.

Why would anyone with $800 million feel the need to do commercials...unless it's for a good cause?
What permanent injuries does he have? I don't watch much news anymore...not for 5 months now.

Extensive surgeries to repair compound fractures in one or both legs, among other injuries.

If I had just a 1/10 of 1% of the income that Tiger Woods' fame generates, I have me a permanent 24/7 on call Uber driver.
Well, when Uber comes to pick you up, I'd check the car for a golf club. If you see one, don't get in.

That's what smells fishy to me. Anyone else would have been tested for drugs or alcohol in their system. The cops would have never said for the average Joe, we didn't smell anything, he wasn't on anything. Plus, did they see if he was on his cell phone at the time, talking or texting? I didn't hear anything about that, they always check that these days.
