The man got his Johnson and Johnson vaccine five weeks before getting sick. He has been hospitalized, developed pneumonia and is in critical condition.

The Brooklyn woman got her shot three weeks before she first experienced mild symptoms. She got progressively worse until she felt she had to see a doctor. She said she still remained cautious, even after getting vaccinated. Still wore her masks and frequently washed her hands. According to the article:
“The vaccine does not necessarily prevent you from getting COVID. It prevents you from being hospitalized or dying from it,” Dr. Kris Bungay, a Manhattan primary care physician, told The Post. “That is why we all still have to be careful.” “It was not common in the clinical trials for patients to be symptomatic after getting vaccinated,” Bungay added.
"It prevents you from being hospitalized or dying from it,” Well that certainly isn't true for that N.J. man! Full article:

And this is why I'm not and most of the people I know are not rushing out to get vaccinated.

I knew before I got vaccinated, will get my second shot Saturday, that it did not guarantee that I would not get Covid, it just assured that if I did get infected, it would not be a severe or deadly case. Good enough for me, seems reasonable for this new coronavirus, I don't expect miracles. I just don't want to die in my old age from COVID-19, a mild case I can handle. 👍

One case out 183,000,000 to date. The article does not say how sick she was. Maybe she calls 911 after a sneeze.
She said:
As her cough persisted, debilitating fatigue set in. “It started getting really bad, to the point where I did go to City MD,” Debilitating fatigue is no fun, trust me. I suffered with it during my attacks of atrial fibrillation (before I was cured). During those times I felt like I would surely die.

There is NO vaccine that is 100% effective against this virus...just as there are no "cures" that are 100% effective against ANY disease or illness. Every one's body reacts differently to any illness or cure. Everything is a bit of a "gamble", and this virus and its vaccines are no different.
