I saw Jimi Hendrix in concert in 1967 and I saw Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young in 1970. Both, very memorable events.

I saw Elton John in 1970, when he was second billing to Leon Russel. I walked up and paid $5 at the entrance the night of the concert.

i saw the Everly's in concert.
I saw the Beach Boys in concert and Mike Love and i spent time conversing backstage. He invited me to lunch with him, and I did!

Was in the middle of the music business in the 70's and I don't have a high regard for any of it.

I didn't go to Concerts much when I was a teen..couldn't afford them.

My favourite concert that I saw as a grown adult, was Fairport Convention 3 day outdoor concert at Cropredy , then James Taylor..as well as Mike & the Mechanics

I've seen quite a few more since ...

However given the chance I would have loved to have seen Neil Diamond in concert...I feel too old now to go to huge stadium concerts, I prefer the more sedate local folk music concerts in halls that don't hold more than 500...

I’ve seen so many concerts I can’t possibly pick one. Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, Chicago, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, The Eagles, Genesis when Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel played together, Santana , Supertramp, Robbie Robertson, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Guess Who, MaDonna, Heart, Max Webster.... ( too many to remember ;hundreds of concerts )

I didn’t attend a concert until 2016-really-now I’m hooked.Fingers crossed for the Autumn.
so back in the day was January 2016 and the second concert of The Corrs short lived comeback.
Goosebumps all evening and Andrea playing a Ukelele...Brilliant .So I went to Blenheim Palace that Summer and saw them again!

I saw Emerson, Lake & Palmer in concert twice in the 1970’s. Highlighting Emerson’s flamboyant use of the Moog synthesizer, they turned me on to a love of electronic sound...

Sweet Emma the Bell Gal and her Dixieland Boys (from New Orleans's Preservation Hall)! They put on a really good show, invited folks up on the stage to dance with them, and then stayed around afterwards and visited with the audience, for a long time. Most memorable concert experience of my life, it was great.

Had a similar and very memorable experience with Pete Segar and Arlo Guthrie, very nice people. Saw Dizzy Gillespie in a small bar once, another great experience.

I have seen more famous folks, but my favorite concerts were small venues with musicians who enjoyed interacting with the audience.

My preference has never been for the big draw concerts. They are way too loud, most of the time, one is too far from the stage to really see anything, and there is no interaction with the musicians themselves as they are whisked in to the venue in a limousine or helicopter, and whisked away again afterward.

Instead, I enjoy what are known as "house concerts". These are typically held in somebody's home and are small intimate affairs. You get to interact with the musician(s) during the break and often can sign up to take a seminar or lesson with the artist the next day. Equally important is that there is little or no amplification. I much prefer the purity of live acoustic instruments and never understood why everything has to be so LOUD in typical concert venues and clubs.

The three that have stayed in my mind
1. The Carpenters back when they were popular,Karen had such a lovely voice
2 Jim Croce,I was visiting my cousin at Univ of Vermont,he gave a concert, sadly he died a couple months later
3.Steve Martin when his'King Tut' was a big hit, always enjoy his humor

The Stones (Rolling Stones).

That said, I was lucky enough to live in San Francisco, where Bill Graham put on concerts (promoted them), so I saw a LOT of bands.

Bill Graham's first name was Wolfgang -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Graham_(promoter)
Wolfgang's Vault, where you can get all kinds of stuff, is at: https://www.wolfgangs.com/
I also think the reason I saw a lot of concerts was because we (our town) are situated right in the middle of San Francisco and Los Angeles, and back in the day.....some of these bands were just getting started, so they played smaller venues to get their names out there.

And, we would go up to S.F. to Bill Graham's place....The Fillmore?, also for concerts.

Best of all was the Rolling Stones, as we stood at the base of the stage for the whole concert ...an accidental TREAT.
Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Second best, was Elvis in the late 50's ... but needed binoculars to watch that show
Third favorite was Ike/Tina Turner Revue .... non-stop rhythm and blues concert.

Rod Stewart and the Faces circa 1972; Ry Cooder around the same time; Linda Ronstadt at the Cellar Door in Washington DC around 1973 (not really a concert, more a club).

I took my son to see R.E.M. about 20 years ago at Jones Beach and enjoyed that very much.

I enjoyed going to Grateful Dead concerts back in the day, but when I hear them "live" on the radio now, they sound off-key and out-of-tune.

I enjoyed a lot of music in big, small and just regular old pop-up venues. Sometimes the sound was terrible sometimes the crowds were terrible but mostly everything and everyone was a lot of fun.
Through his connections, my son got me VIP backstage access at a concert many years ago and after that I'm just spoiled and do not want to rub elbows with the masses.:ROFLMAO:
