Stoneware

My parents, of course. I wish they had taken the money spent on things nobody wants anymore, and had invested it. ;)
Sometimes it's just one person who is the collector. I used to be, but not anymore.
I guess it brought them joy.

If they'd invested more, you'd be a multi-millionaire 🤑

I've put several on local online selling sites. Not one "nibble" yet. Either people around here aren't interested in stoneware anymore or they don't want to pay a fair market value. The cost of shipping them is prohibitive. A 12 gallon crock could weigh 50 pounds, so I only deal locally.

Makes sense .. I see quite a few that I would have bought, back in the day. I hope they sell, eventually.

Will you be having a yard sale, come summer?

Did that man who bought your calendar see these? If not, send him a link.
No and he says on his business car he is interested in old jugs and crocks. He's a dealer, so won't pay what an end collector would. If I have any left over after the sale, I will let him know.

The problem is that tag sales aren't what they were 30 years ago. When my mom had a sale, our front yard looked like St. Peter's Square on Easter morning and it wasn't unusual for her to make $300 to $400 on a weekend. Now I certainly don't have to call the National Guard for crowd control and if I make $30, it a good day. The old collectors are dying off and not around anymore. Their collections are being sold off by their kinfolks and flooding the market. Young people nowadays don't seem very interested in filling their homes with trinkets and dustcatchers.

You might look at prices online so you have some idea if any are particularly valuable, before the sale time.
I've been trying, but places like eBay, the prices are all over the place. Who ya gonna believe? Also, I can never find exactly what I have. I posted a few on a Facebook stoneware group and the consensus of opinion is that mine are nothing special. They are not special when compared to these, which fetch thousands of dollars:
